COMMERCE, CA—Orion Carport Systems and Construction Inc., Orion Racking’s carport division, is proud to announce that it has been selected by CSI Electrical Contractors Inc. and Pacific BMW to design, fabricate, and install a 369.6 kW solar canopy carport system at BMW’s dealership in Glendale, CA. Orion will be installing their LETO and TITAN carport systems on top of the dealership’s four-story parking garage. The system is projected to produce 559,260 kWh per year. This production is equivalent to CO2 emissions from 44,226 gallons of gasoline consumed.
This project will be Orion’s second carport installation for Pacific BMW. Orion completed a 135 kW install at their Service Center located at 901 S. Brand Blvd. The 369.6 kW system will be installed at 800 S. Brand Blvd.
“The installation of these carport systems show that solar canopies are not only becoming more prominent in the market, but it also demonstrates that more and more of these eco-friendly systems are making their way up onto multi-level parking structures, which is a very exciting thing to see,” said the CEO of Orion, Bob Sinai.
